Ryan Clark Named in LDC Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders for 2025
Port Glasgow, Scotland – 9 October 2025
Inverclyde-based security company Safer Group are proud to announce that Group Chief Executive Ryan Clark has been recognised by LDC, part of Lloyds Banking Group, in their prestigious Top 50 Most Ambitious Business Leaders for 2025.
Produced in partnership with The Times, the annual list celebrates exceptional entrepreneurs from across the UK who have demonstrated outstanding ambition, innovation and leadership.
Ryan was presented with his award at an official ceremony held at BAFTA, 195 Piccadilly, London, on 8th October 2025, where other dynamic and visionary business leaders were celebrated. Competition for the accolade is high, regularly attracting a vast number of nominations. The LDC spotlight leaders who have made a tangible impact through job creation, sustainability initiatives, social equality, and international growth.
Having left university and working as a security guard at 18 years old, Ryan founded Safer Group using his own savings in 2016, soon developing the company’s signature Safer POD intruder detection system after identifying a gap in the existing marketplace.
In discussing his inspiration to start Safer Group, Ryan claimed:
“I wanted a better life, I’ve loved technology since I was a kid and always dreamed of building something that would make a difference.”
Under Ryan's leadership, Safer Group has grown from a small team of installers to a UK-wide security innovator with technological advancements that are now experiencing rapid international expansion.
Safer Group’s dedication to innovation has, however, also been recognised closer to home. The company recently received the Journey to Net Zero trophy at the Inverclyde Chamber of Commerce 2025 ICON Awards and continue to create high-quality employment opportunities both within Inverclyde and across the UK.
Pioneering advancements in recent times have included a recent successful partnership with Durham Constabulary to promote retail crime solutions, demonstrating the company’s ongoing commitment to improving community safety through technological excellence.
With investment in research & development expected to continue, Ryan has expressed an interest in national defence and infrastructure security to counter emerging threats of the not-so-distant future.
“I’m incredibly honoured to be recognised by the LDC among such an inspiring group of leaders,” said Ryan Clark. “At Safer Group, every client we serve is working to build, produce, and deliver progress. Our role is to ensure nothing stands in the way of that. Thank you to our clients for their continued support and to my colleagues for the hard work they demonstrate every day.”
All at Safer Group are immensely proud of Ryan’s recognition and wish to extend their warmest congratulations on his well-deserved achievement.
